█ SPECIFICATION

CoCr-milling blank – free of nickel and beryllium –
Starbond CoS Disc is based on the well proven conventional casting alloy Starbond CoS. Dental technicians can continue working with the same alloy components and compositions and thus the same positive processing characteristics.

Advantages for milling centers:

  • The material is being produced blank by blank in a special casting technique.
  • A high homogeneity is thus achieved and the hardness is distributed very evenly throughout the whole blank (edge, center, core).
  • This eases the wear and tear on the milling machine and machine parts.
  • With a medium hardness of 330 (basic) and 340 (premium) Starbond CoS Disc is one of the softest CoCr-milling blanks on the market.
  • Suitable for dry and wet milling.
Advantages for the dental technician:
  • A thermal expansion coeffi cient of 14,0 ensures fl exibility when choosing the ceramics.
  • Depending on the ceramics used, no cooling period is required.
  • The alloy is bio-compatible, has a light oxide and is very easy to polish.
  • High bonding-strength with ceramic masses.
  • Suitable for laser welding.
